After doing extremely well in school galas, Taneal decided to take on swimming as her main sport and joined Waterborn Swimming Club in 2017. Since then she has been training a minimum of 4 days a week for an hour and a half a day. She has moved up the levels within the club and last year got invited to swim for the Junior Central Gauteng Aquatics. Taneal (Gr.8) swam her first gala of the year, mid-July, competing against an average 46 other swimmers. Taneal swam 8 races including a 200-meter Freestyle for her club averaging just over a minute per 100 meters for each race.

Well done, Taneal!
