A note from the Principal’s desk

Dear Charter College Parents, Students and Staff

The end of the second term is upon us. We have had a very busy term with many of our students writing Cambridge examinations. So we all deserve a well earned break!

We say goodbye to two of our staff members this term – Mrs. King and Mrs. Le Roux. Thank you for your valued contributions and we wish you the best with your future endeavours. You will be missed by staff and students.

KYUDO (Japanese Archery)

Congratulations to Shane Castanheira for passing his 1st Kyu on Saturday at The South African Kyudo Renmei Dojo. Shane is now officially the youngest 1st Kyu in South Africa and is now eligible to travel to Japan and take his 1st Dan Black Belt grading.

We are very proud of him and wish him the best of luck for his Shodan grading.

Charter College staff are making waves in education!

Well done to Mr. Dodge who graduated last night with his Masters in Educational Psychology.

Mr. Dodge took a sabbatical from teaching at Charter College this year and is currently doing his internship at UJ as a counsellor.
He is also currently considering doing his doctorate. We wish him well in all his endeavours and we miss him greatly at Charter College!
Mr. Dodge achieved Cum Laude in Honours and Cum Laude for his thesis!
