In 2017/2018 Charter College received 5 prestigious awards from Cambridge International Examinations to acknowledge their students outstanding performance in the June 2017 Cambridge IGCSE and AS level exams.
The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards programme celebrates the success of learners taking Cambridge examinations in over 40 countries around the world. Cambridge places learners at the centre of its international education programmes and qualifications which are inspired by the best in educational thinking and recognised by the world’s top universities and employers.
Cambridge programmes and qualifications are designed to help students develop enduring, transferable thinking and learning skills as well as subject knowledge.

This year, five Charter College Cambridge learners won the ‘top in South Africa’ awards for achieving the highest marks in the country in a single Cambridge International IGCSE and AS Level subject:

- Zaryb Thakur – IGCSE Urdu
- Gary Peta – AS level Economics
- Kimberleigh Sun Hing – AS level Information Technology
