Dear staff, students and parents of Charter College,

The past five years have been some of the happiest of my life. I have been surrounded by talented, vivacious and loving students as well as truly wonderful and devoted parents.

During my time at Charter College, I have laughed, cried, smiled and spent the past half-decade doing what I love the most – teaching and mentoring young people.

I have watched as students have walked through these doors as children and leave as adults, ready and equipped for the wider world. It has been a great honour and privilege to have been part of that intrepid journey with them and I will dearly miss being part of the Charter College family.

This has not been an easy decision and I will miss all of those within our school.

I leave Charter with a heavy heart but with one that is filled with hope, optimism and pride in all those who have shared their journey with me.

It is with pride and devotion with a gentle heart and an open mind that I now look to the future.

Thank you for everything.

Mrs. Melanie Delport
