Charter College annual Charity day event.
The grade 8 chosen charity this year was the SPCA Randburg.
On the 19th of October the gr 8’s headed to the SPCA in Randburg, with bags and bags and bags, of food and other donations
Walking through the kennels and cages, students seemed sensitive to seeing the dogs and cats’ cute little faces, and realised the heaviness of the task. However, they all came to realize that the animals really are spoilt with love and attention when visitors are there. The people at the SPCA were very appreciative and thanked us profusely for the food, toys!
After, we headed to the charity shops and bought various books and ornaments. All the money goes towards buying supplies for the animals. Each little face that we saw seemed to light up as we walked along the isles. Truly the best way to spend the day.
We will be collecting money for the “Wall of Humanity” at the SPCA. You can buy a brick for R67 and have plaque put up, dedicated to someone you love or yourself?
Please enquire with Mrs Ledsham or Mrs Kreusch for details.
