Eliecia Chivandire (Grade 8) took part at the SwimPartners Championship 2024 that happened over the weekend, starting 10th of February.
She registered personal bests, qualified for the finals in her races and claimed top 3 positions in 3 of them:
• 100m Backstroke - 2nd
• 100m Butterfly - 2nd
• 50m Freestyle - 3rd
Of great significance is that Eliecia's 100m Backstroke time of 1:13.38s beat the South Africa National Junior (SANJ) qualifying time, and she will be going to the Nationals to be held at Kings Park Pool, from 15 - 19 March 2024 in Durban.
SA National Junior is the highest of the age group swimming levels and is a big achievement in swimming.
